Pam Boney
The low country of North and South Carolina offers a stunning, laid-back way of life at every stage of living. After moving there in the aftermath of losing everything in a fire shortly after the pandemic, Pam Boney found herself surrounded by empty walls and a blank canvas of possibility. Having lost her art collection, she felt called to create her own.
She had dabbled in painting as a teenager but set it aside for more practical pursuits. Her career took her into hospitality, where she spent two decades managing a portfolio of Hilton hotels, and later into entrepreneurship, founding a business in I/O Psychology that designed personality and agility assessments based on Aristotle’s Golden Mean.
A romantic and entrepreneur at heart, she has always believed that boldness in the face of change opens the door to new adventures—and that fulfillment often requires it. At 65, she chose to become a painter.
Today, she paints expressive impressionist and abstract landscapes inspired by life among the islands of the low country.
