Elizabeth Melhorn

I have kept a diary as long as I can remember. I got my desire to journal from my mother along with her love for art and for those around her. I seem to store snapshots in my mind of favorite moments and it is no mystery now that those moments find their way onto my easel. I am surrounded by a large family and friends who inspire me and fill my sketch book pages. There are times I paint and the image appears as if it was on the canvas all along. I am amazed by the artist who have taken the time to teach me. I paint because it simply is what I love.

I began painting with pastels and now work primarily in oil. I have entered and been juried into Portrait Competitions. I built an Interior Design Business but always found time to be in my studio.
